Dyakuyu Ukraine Support Team (DUST) successfully completed its first official humanitarian convoy to Ukraine in Spring 2026. In a combined effort with our UK-based partners, DUST sponsored two vehicles and deployed four drivers as part of a seven-vehicle convoy delivering critical aid overland across Europe and into Ukraine. The mission focused on providing power generation equipment, medical supplies, and logistical support to front-line responders and communities impacted by ongoing conflict.

The convoy originated in London and traveled through Belgium, Germany, and Poland before entering Ukraine. After staging and vehicle checks in Lviv, the team proceeded to Kyiv and then onward to Dnipro and the Zaporizhzhia region. Deliveries included direct handoffs to defenders, a visit to a hospital treating injuries and providing manpower at a shelter supporting displaced civilians. Final vehicle transfers were completed near Pavlograd, where all convoy assets were placed into the hands of Ukrainian partners and defenders for immediate operational use.

We saw firsthand the impact of this support, in hospitals, in shelters, and in conversations with people continuing through incredibly difficult circumstances.

Your contribution was not abstract. It became something real, something useful, and something immediate.

  • Fall 2025 Humanitarian Convoy

In October 2025, a volunteer humanitarian convoy successfully completed a 2,700-mile mission to deliver a Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck and critical supplies in Izyum and Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine. The vehicle and its cargo are now supporting volunteers and defenders providing life-saving medical capability, mobility, and practical support in some of the most dangerous areas on and near the frontlines.

On trip like this can take months of preparation, route-planning, and close coordination with trusted Ukrainian logistics partners on the ground to navigate border controls, air-raid risks, and rapidly changing front-line conditions. Volunteers drove from the UK through France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Romania, adjusting plans when an experimental route via Moldova was blocked, and ensured that every item funded by donors was handed directly to vetted volunteers and defenders, while drivers personally covered their own travel expenses as their contribution to the effort.

    Delivered vehicle and supplies included:

    • 1 Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck
    • 69 CAT Gen-7 tourniquets, 49 Celox Rapid hemostatic gauze, 37 Russell chest seals for battlefield trauma care
    • Hospital dressings, crepe bandages, major trauma dressings, clinical wipes, pelvic sling, resuscitators, cricothyrotomy kits, scissors, and a stretcher to support front-line medics and field hospitals
    • 1 DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone
    • 3 EcoFlow River 2 Max portable power stations with one solar panel
    • Boots, sleeping bags, waterproof jackets and pants, hand warmers
    • Camping stoves, gas bottles, tools, and vehicle emergency supplies (cable ties, jump leads, straps, tire repair)
    • Food, soft drinks, and flapjacks (home-baked by UK volunteers)
    • Other personal kit
