About Us

Ordinary individuals can play an extraordinary role in times of crisis.

Our goals are simple: stand by the people of Ukraine, deliver meaningful aid, and remind Ukrainians they are not alone.

Dyakuyu Ukraine Support Team (DUST for short), was founded in late autumn of 2025, by our President, Gustavo San Miguel:

In Spring 2025, I joined a volunteer convoy delivering donated vehicles and essential supplies from the United Kingdom into Ukraine. What began as a simple desire to help quickly transformed into a powerful firsthand look at the reality of life in a country under constant threat. The journey carried us from calm European highways into regions marked by checkpoints, damaged infrastructure, and an unmistakable spirit of resilience. The mission was straightforward, help those who needed them most via vehicles and supplies, but the impact was deeper than expected.

Upon crossing into Ukraine, the purpose of the trip became unmistakably clear. Every donated item mattered. The vehicles delivered immediately became more than transportation, they became tangible tools for stability and peace.

Returning home from that April trip didn’t feel like closure. It felt like responsibility. The images stayed: medics carefully organizing donated medical supplies and local volunteers planning their next route despite exhaustion. The experience made one thing clear for me; helping once wasn’t enough. I started asking myself “How do we continue this work, and how do we scale it so more people can benefit?”

From that question, Dyakuyu Ukraine Support Team (DUST), was created. Built in Texas but rooted in international solidarity, DUST was formed to turn one volunteer trip into a sustained, dependable network of support. Our mission is to deliver critical aid and resources like vehicles, medical supplies, and generators, to communities living through war, blackouts, and bombings all across Ukraine. We focus on efficiency, transparency, and reliable partnerships with trusted volunteers on the ground.

That first trip in April is the backbone of our organization’s story. At DUST, we are committed to continuing this work, because we’ve seen firsthand how far one act of support can reach.

Why have we called our organization Dyakuyu Ukraine Support Team (DUST)?

“Dyakuyu” (Дякую) means “thank you” in Ukrainian. It’s the word heard most often during that April convoy, and it’s what drives us forward.

Are donations to DUST tax exempt?

Yes! As of October 3, 2025 the IRS has granted us tax exemption status, so all donations you make are tax deductible. You can find our IRS Letter 947 here for your records.

Our Mission

Built in Texas but rooted in international solidarity, DUST, was formed to turn one volunteer trip into a sustained, dependable network of support.

Our mission is to deliver critical aid and resources: vehicles, medical supplies, generators, and other critical resources to communities living through war, blackouts, and bombings all across Ukraine.

We don’t have an office. We don’t have paid staff. We are an all-volunteer organization committed to ensuring that every dollar donated goes directly to purchasing and personally delivering aid to Ukrainians.

Zero overhead. Zero bureaucracy. Just direct impact.
